VZ LS1 Radiator & Twin Thermo Fan Conversion Kit - Overflow Tank & Crossover Pipe Delete for VT VU VX VY

Complete used VZ Commodore LS1 radiator, twin thermo fan and expansion bottle package, removed from a running VZ V8.

The go-to conversion for VT, VU, VX and VY owners who want the ugly factory overflow tank gone. The VZ setup runs a neat, compact pressurised expansion bottle mounted up out of the way, instead of the big oversized plastic overflow tank that dominates the passenger side of the VT–VY engine bay. It also does away with the coolant crossover pipe, which cleans up the front of the engine considerably. Add the twin electric thermo fans replacing the engine-driven clutch fan and you end up with a far tidier bay, better low-speed cooling and less parasitic drag.

• VZ LS1 aluminium radiator with integrated transmission cooler
• Twin thermo fan assembly and shroud (GM part 8240476, PP-GF30) with loom pigtails
• VZ pressurised expansion / coolant bottle with cap and mounting bracket
• Upper and lower radiator hoses
• Heater and bypass hoses with clamps

Why Do The Conversion

• Deletes the bulky VT–VY overflow tank for a much tidier engine bay

Condition

Used, secondhand condition as pictured. The radiator and hoses appear to have been replaced relatively recently — the core is straight and clean with no visible damage. We can't confirm whether the radiator is a genuine GM unit or a quality aftermarket replacement, so it is sold as-is on that basis. The thermo fan assembly and expansion bottle are genuine GM. Fan motors spin freely and both were operational at time of removal. Exactly what is shown in the photos is what you receive.

Notes

Fitting into a VT–VY requires the VZ fan loom to be wired in along with a fan control setup (factory-style relay wiring or tune-controlled). Radiator and hoses suit the standard VT–VZ engine bay. We recommend a pressure test and flush before installation, as with any used cooling component.
